I had a wind-up Hermle mantle clocks for 30 years. Repair was quoted $1000 plus parts. Money I didn't have. So my Seiko Mantle Clock battery operated is just perfect.

Love it! I was replacing a clock I loved but kept losing time and didn't want to replace it with something that looked cheap, or worse, also lost time. This Newgate clock is quiet and is different enough that it hasn't got a pile of similar looking knock-offs.
